Season
Two
When
She Was Bad
Snyder: "One day, the campus is completely bare, empty. The next, there are
children everywhere...like locusts. Crawling around, mindlessly bent on feeding
and mating. Destroying everything in sight in their relentless, pointless desire
to exist."
Giles: "Well, I do enjoy these pep talks. Have you ever considered, given your
abhorrence of children, that school principal was not, perhaps, your true vocation?"
Snyder: "I believe some of us have class, and some of us have jobs."
Snyder: "There's some things I can just smell. It's like a sixth sense."
Giles: "Well, actually, that would be one of the five."
Snyder: "That Summers girl--I smell trouble. I smell expulsion, and just the
faintest aroma of jail."
Snyder: "You really have faith in those kids, don't you?"
Giles: "Yes, I do."
Snyder: "Weird."
School
Hard
Principal Snyder: "A lot of educators tell students, 'Think of your principal
as your pal.' I say, think of me as your judge, jury, and executioner."
Principal Snyder: "Sheila has never burnt down a school building."
Buffy: "Well, that was never proven. The fire marshall said it could've been
mice."
Principal Snyder: "Mice."
Buffy: "Mice that were smoking?"
Principal Snyder: "Your parents, assuming you have any, will meet your teachers,
assuming you have any left."
Principal Snyder: "You wouldn't be helping Buffy in Sheila's place, would you?"
Xander: "Heheh...no."
Willow: "We're hindering."
Principal Snyder: "Hmm! I feel an expulsion coming on."
Joyce: "I didn't get much of a look, but is there something wrong with their
faces?"
Principal Snyder: "Yes! PCP. It's a gang on PCP!"
Principal Snyder: "Who do you think you are?"
Buffy: "I'm the one that knows how to stop them."
Principal Snyder: "I'm beginning to see a certain mother/daughter relationship."
Halloween
"Miss Summers. Just the juvenile delinquent I've been looking for."
"Halloween must be a big night for you. Tossing eggs, keying, bobbing for apples
-- one pathetic cry for help after another."
"No need to speak to them. The last thing they need is your influence. Just
bring them back in one piece, and I won't expel you."
What's
My Line, Part 1
Xander: "I wanna' walk in your shoes. Not your actual shoes, of course, because
you're a tiny person."
Principal Snyder: "..."
Xander: "Not tiny in the small sense, of course...okay, I'm done."
Principal Snyder: "Where is she?"
Willow: "Who?"
Principal Snyder: "You know who."
Willow: "You mean Buffy? I just saw her--"
Principal Snyder: "And don't feed me that 'I just saw her a minute ago, she's
around here somewhere' story."
Willow: "But I did...just see her a minute ago, and she is...around here somewhere."
Xander: "And for what it's worth--"
Principal Snyder: "It's worth nothing, Harris. Whatever comes out of your mouth
is a meaningless waste of breath, an airborne toxic event."
Xander: "Well, I'm glad you feel comfortable enough to be so honest with me.
And I can only hope that one day I'm in the position to be that honest with
you."
Principal Snyder: "Fascinating."
I only Have
Eyes For You
"What would Sunnydale High do without you around to incite mayhem, chaos, and
disorder?"
"People can be coerced, Summers. I'm no stranger to conspiracy. I saw JFK."
"Pathetic little lowlife vegan."
"You stink of lies."
Becoming
- Part 1
Principal Snyder: "Are we having a chair shortage?"
Willow: "I didn't read anything about...oh, I get it."
Principal Snyder: "This isn't an orgy, people. It's a classroom."
Buffy: "Yeah. Where they teach lunch."
Principal Snyder: "Just give me a reason to kick you out, Summers. Just give
me a reason."
Cordelia: "How 'bout because you're a tiny, impotent Nazi with a bug up his
butt the size of an emu."
Becoming
- Part 2
Principal Snyder: "Buffy Summers. If there's trouble, she's behind it."
Buffy: "You stupid little troll. You have no idea."
Principal Snyder: "Attitude problem. Serious."
"You do know this is a crime scene, don't you? But then...you're a criminal,
so that pretty much works out."
"In case you haven't noticed, the police of Sunnydale are deeply stupid."
Principal Snyder: "These are moments you want to savor. You wish time would
stop so that you could live them over and over again. You're expelled."
Buffy: "You never ever got a single date in high school, did you?"
Principal Snyder: "Your point being?"
"It's Snyder. Tell the Mayor...I have good news."
