Giles advises Buffy tp alm down, a sentiment Xander agrees with, especially as he is playing Buffy's Punchbag - literally; wearing a sumo-sized bodysuit. Buffy apologises for hurting her friend and lets him lean against a wall (as he can't sit down) letting him try to work out which bits of him hurt the most)

Xander consoles the Slayer about her love life, blaming the Hellmouth for her not being able to find a decent guy. Because let's face it, what good can come out of the Hellmouth? Joyce nervously prepares for a date with a man named Brian with the help of her daughters, who are cruelly making her spin around until she gets dizzy. Joyce asks Buffy for love advice, but Love Doctor Buffy is out of town at the moment, due to the fact her two most serious boyfriends skipped out on her.

Anya and Tara discuss the Internet and Anya's knowledge of online stock trading and websites. Tara is frightened of the internet, mainly because the people on it don't spell properly. :) Anya on the other hand loves it, she's been investing her money in little firns and is get triple back. She's also made a site for the magic shop, it has a big picture of her on it.

April approaches them, asking if they know where Warren is but when the girls can't help her, April moves onto another person and asks the same question. The girls are slightly freaked out by the strange girl.

Buffy and Xander dance at a University party while Anya, Tara and Willow watch on. Anya says that she lets her boyfriend dance with other women to get huge karmic rewards, (which she is still waitign for) Buffy actually loks happy. After dancing, Buffy notices Ben proping up the punch bowl and 'casually' catches his attention. They chat briefly but awkwardly and Buffy asks Ben to dance.

Anya is admiring the Chex mix with Xander when April arrives at the party, still searching for Warren. Warren just so happens to be at the party and escapes with his date before April discovers him. April questions the people at the party, telling them that Warren is her boyfriend and he lost her.

Spike approaches Buffy while she's waiting but she tells him off before Ben returns. Ben offers to give Spike some violence but Buffy tells him that it's okay. He gives her his number for a possible coffee date (which isn't actually a date, just drinking of coffee) and isn't scared off when Buffy warns him of her bad history.

After seeing Buffy with Ben, Spike is inspired to hit on April, but his suggestive comments only anger her and leads her to throw the vampire through a window. Spike is not impressed "You threw me through a bloody window!" Buffy loves it and will cherish the memory forever. Buffy tries to talk to April, but April throws her aside, apologises for hurting her and leaves.

Later, at Xander's apartment, the gang unanimously agrees that April is a robot, but concludes she isn't a threat. (Especially as robots aren't supposed to hurt humans, read your classic Asmiov)

Buffy returns home and Giles suggests he not watch Dawn alone anymore because he can't take much more exposure to the habits of a young teenager. He doesn't like talking about boys and eating cookie dough you se. Joyce returns from her date in an extremely good mood, shocking her daughter with the joke that she left her bra in Brian's car, well not really, it was left in the resturant on the dessert trolley. Buffy runs upstairs to escape the scarey teasing.

Katrina encounters April at a park and April uses force to make Katrina admit that Warren is her not her boyfriend. Katrina won't take back the truth and April squeezes harder uner you can hear ribs breaking.

Warren and buffy frantically search for the robot and find her holding Katrina by the neck, luckily she's still breathing. Warren finally tells April that he can't love her.April sees Buffy as a threat to her love and turns on her. fighting ensues.. Buffy damages April's electrical work and she is finally stopped.

After talking with April in her final moments, Buffy realizes that she doesn't need a man in her life. Buffy watches Xander play Handy Xandy, fixing the window that April threw Spike through. Xander tells ehr loads of technical things about his job and they both realise that he actually knows what he is talking about, although Buffy thinks that 'shims' is not a real word. Buffy leaves a message for Ben on his answering machine, canceling the date, but Glory listens to the message, not Ben. Glory is enraged thinking that Ben is siding with the Slayer and going to betray her.

Spike confronts Warren about making a robot for him, one based completely on Buffy. Warren refuses, but Spike won't take no for an answer.

Buffy goes home and calls out to her mother, asking if she wants her to pick Dawn up from school, but there is no answer. She turns to go into the living room and finds her mother lying on the sofa, eyes open, not moving.

Worried by her mother's awkward appearance, Buffy calls out to her, but Joyce doesn't move, doesn't answer. "Mom? Mom? Mommy?"
