Buffy is making up the bed in her old room. Helping her is Faith. They chat about how 'Little Sister' is going to be coming soon and Buffy says that she's going to have to go. Blood starts to drip onto the clean white sheets. They both look down and see Faith's knife in her stomach. faith asks if Buffy's going to take it out but she just pushes it in further.

Everyone is still in Xander's basement where Xander is trying to work out how to fix the Initiative Blaster gun, but even with all his peusdo-military knowledge it is beyond him. Giles is worried about Buffy because she is running herself into the ground trying to find and stop Adam. Buffy is worrying about Riley, because the Initiative won't tell her anything. Willow tells her that everything will be fine. None of them notice when Xander gets a nasty shock off the blaster (apart from us :()

Riley wakes up and starts getting dressed. He's worried about Buffy and wants to leave the hospital. Forrest and Riley try to persuade him to stay but he's made his mind up.

At the hospital Faith has been moved into a very austere room all grey concrete and shadows. She looks very small in the huge hospital bed. Faith is dreaming.

She is having a picnic in the park with the Mayor. She thinks it's going to rain and he tells her not to worry so much. They takl about the Ascension. Buffy comes up behind them and slits the Mayor's throat with Faith's knife.

Buffy is out on patrol with Willow and Xander for company. They stumble upon the disected body of what looks like a Faryl demon hanging from a tree. They go back to Xander's basement where both Willow and Xander agree that they don't want to see anything like that ever again. Xander asks if the plan that Buffy is formulating has anything to do with hidding out in the woods with plenty of chocolate. Buffy says no and Xander says 'I told you so' to Willow. Buffy wants to break into the military hospital to find Riley, but a voice breaks in asking her why she wants to do this. Riley is there, hurting from being skewered but pretty much okay. Buffy is very pleased to see him.

Faith is still dreaming about Buffy. This time she is being chased by her. They run through the cemetery and Faith falls down an open grave. It starts to rain. Buffy jumps into the grave after the rogue Slayer and they fight. A hand appears over the top of the grave, followed by another and Faith pulls herself out of the grave. In the real world Faith wakes up and looks blankly at the ceiling.

She pulls all the tubes out that have been keeping her alive and walks out into the hall. She meets up with a girl in a red coat who is looking for another part of the hospital. Faith still thinks it is the day before Graduation and is confused by the answers the girl gives. The girl tells her that the school is gone and the Mayor dead. She knocks the girl unconscious and steals her clothes. She then heads out of the hospital to go and find some old friends.

Riley and Buffy have a talk about their destinies to fight the forces of evil. Buffy tells him that at least he has a choice she doesn't.

At the hospital a nurse is telling a dectective about Faith disappearing. The doctor present says that there was no way that Faith could have woken up. After the doctor and the police leave the nurse makes a phone call telling the person at the other end of the line that a team needs to be sent out.

Faith walks around Sunnydale looking at what has changed (like the blown up school) and all the stuff that is still the same. She seems a bit dazed by it all. She realises that the police will be looking for her and goes to great pains to hide from them. Her walk eventually brings her to Giles's house where she spies on them discussing Adam. The phone rings and Giles answers it. Once the call is over he tells them that Faith has woken up. She quietly leaves. They discuss what they are going to do. Willow wants to inflict a lot of pain on the rogue Slayer and Xander seconds her. Buffy is worried about Faith's state of mind.

The next day, Buffy and Willow are walking across the campus discussing Faith. She is reading a notice board and turns around when she hears their voices. Faith, naturally enough, is angry with Buffy and after exchanging bitchiness get into a fight. The police show up and Faith does a run for it, escaping easily from both the police and Buffy.

Willow is on Faith-hunt and brings Tara along as back-up/company. She tells her friend that Faith is extremely dangerous and once it gets dark they should hide. That night Xander adn Giles team up to search for Faith and Adam but run into Spike instead who reminds them that he's still evil and that he doesn't like the Scooby Gang. He'll akso let Faith know that they are looking for her.

A helicopter lands by the hospital. Three men dressed in black get out and go to talk to the nurse who is waiting for them, they go into the hospital.

Faith is approached by a demon who has a gift for her from an old friend. She lets him hand it over then kills him. She then finds a video player to play the tape that is inside the package. The Mayor has made her a tape which she is to be given when he dies. It was made after she went into a coma. He tells her that he has one last gift for her and tells her to open the box.

Buffy and Riley talk about Faith. She doesn't want to tell him everythign that happened because of Angel's involvment (who Riley knows nothing about).

Faith shows up at Joyce's house and when Joyce answers the door Faith knocks her out. Joyce comes around on her bed, Faith is trying out Joyce's make up. Faith has noticed that Buffy doesn't come around so much now and taunts her. Joyce tells her that she hopes that Buffy kicks her sorry ass. Faith doesn't reckon it will happen and is surprised when Buffy comes smashing in through the bedroom window. They get into a very violent fight that has them falling down the stairs. Joyce calls the police while they are fighting.

Giles lets himself into his house and finds the three men from the helicopter waiting for him.

Faith puts the gift from the Mayor on her hand (it's like a ring with lots of extra bits on it) and them grabs Buffy's hand. A light flows between them and both of them look confused for a couple of minutes. Buffy smashes the gift and punches Faith really hard so theat she lands dazed on the floor.

Joyce joins her daughter and they both look down at Faith. Joyces asks Buffy if she's okay. Buffy tilts her head to the side and with a look that is 100% Faith says "Five by five."

They have switched bodies.
