The Bronze is heaving and the Dingoes are just finishing their set. After their set finishs Oz goes to join Willow, Xander, and Cordy. Willow and Xander act all jumpy and Xander practically jumps into Cordy's lap. They discuss the fact that Buffy always seems to be vanishing recently and wonder whether she has a new boyfriend. Buffy comes over and catches the end of their conversation. She tells them that she is seeing someone...Faith comes over and flings her arm around Buffy. They're off patrolling tonight.

The two of them go to the cemetery and take out two vampires, but they are being watched by a woman who criticises their Slaying techniques and later introduces herself as Mrs. Gwendolyn Post - Faith's new Watcher. She doesn't like the synchonised Slaying, Buffy and Faith go in for.

The Slayers take the new Watcher back to the Library and introduce her to Giles. She tells them that she has been sent to be Faith's Watcher and also asked by the Watcher's Council to report back on the situation in Sunnydale.

She tells them that a new demon has some to town, Lagos, and he's after a magical glove that is hidden somewhere in Sunnydale. Gwendolyn wants both Slayers at full strength to fight him. She also insults Giles's demonlogy and occult book collection. gggrrrr

Buffy heads off to the mansion where Angel teaches her some Tai Chi sequences. One thing inevitiably leads to another and they end up *that far* from kissing. Buffy beats a hasty retreat, mentioning Lagos before she leaves. She knows she can't let herself get close to Angel again.

Back at the Library, Giles has roped Xander and Willow into helping him research Lagos and the glove. So far they haven't found anything useful and Giles is getting tetchy. The Slayerettes go back to it. Xander and Willow go up into the stacks and sit behind a bookshelf. Willow has got a headache and Xander massages her temples to relieve the pressure. They end up kissing and are almost caught by Giles who luckily was looking the other way. Feeling guilty, Xander offers to go and check out the most likely cenetery where this demon could be.

Walking through Sunnydale centre, Buffy and Faith talk about guys. Faith has had a rough time with them in general and tries to get some info out of Buffy on Angel , but she is so confused with everything that she refuses to talk and gets a little snappish. Buffy says that she's tired and wants to go home so Faith offers to do a final sweep through the cemetery. Faith runs into the demon and gets beaten up, but is okay, because she's a Slayer.

Xander, meanwhile, is at another Cemetery, he spots a movement outside onw of the tombs and goes to investigate, sticking to the shadows. He sees Angel come out of one of the tombs with a bundle and Xander follows him across the cemtery to the mansion (they must be next to each other). Xander follows Angel down into the sunken garden and he peaks through the French windows. He watches with shock as Buffy and Angel get into a rather passionate kiss and he creeps off before they can see him. Buffy breaks off the kiss, she feels very bad about what they are doing and Angel shows her the contents of his bundle, the magical glove that Lagos wants. he warns her not to touch it.

Giles and Gwendolyn are at Giles' apartment, researching when Xander bursts in to tell him his revelation.

The next day, Buffy walks into the library to find everyone (apart from Faith and Gwendolyn) waiting for her. They want to know what is going on and Xander and Buffy get quite bitchy towards each other. Willow tries to break it up while Buffy defends herself. After the others leave Giles reminds Buffy of the suffering Angel put them all through (especially Giles) and how he is hurt at her lack of respect.

Gwendolyn visits Faith at her motel room, and after telling her it is a little Spartan and gives her a little lecture they train.

Buffy catches up with Willow later to talk to her and is surprised when Willow tells her that she isn't angry with Buffy, nor is she disappointed with her. (Mainly because Willow is going through exactly the same thing, but she doesn't tell Buffy that).

That evening Gwendolyn comes to the library. Giles tells her that a friend of Buffy's has the glove. Gwen asks her where it is and when Giles turns his back she hits him over the head with a statue.

Buffy asks Willow to go on patrol with her. Willow is about to confess her affair with Xander when they are attacked by Lagos who Buffy fights and kills with his own sword. She asks Willow to carry on, but Willow changes the subject, chickening out.

While all this is going on, Xander is at the Bronze playing a quiet game of poolwhen faith shows up. He tells her about Angel's return and she decides that she should kill Angel before he gets a change to use the glove. They head to the Library to gt weapons but Xander finds Giles lying on the floor of his office in a pool of blood. He calls 911 while Faith jumps to the wrong conclusion and goes to sort out Angel. Xander stays with Giles, he's not coonvinced that Angel did this.

At the mansion, Angel is just finishing the ritual to create a living flame (the only thing that can destroy the glove) when Gwendolyn turns up. She claims to be a friend of Giles and wants to see the glove. When Angel turns his back she hits him over the head with a handy shovel.

Buffy and Willow go to the Library and fing the Paramedics there wgeeling Giles out. Giles tells her that she has to destroy the glove. Xander tells Buffy that Faith has gone to Angel's because she thought it was him that hurt Giles. Buffy rushes off to stop her, telling Willow as she leaves to find out how to create a living flame.

At the mansion Angel gets up, all vamped-out and fights Gwendolyn, who didn't previously know that Angel was a vampire. Faith arrives just in time to see Angel throw Gwen to the ground and throws herself at Angel. Before Faith can dust Angel, Buffy shows up and the two Slayers end up fighting. Buffy manages to throw both of them through the French Windows and they carry on fighting in the sunken garden. Willow and Xander arrive. Xander goes to break up the Slayers, but ends up getting thrown across the garden while Willow helps Gwen. Gwendolyn repays her by punching her across the room before putting the glove on.

Everyone stops when they realise what Gwendolyn is doing. Using the glove to store bolts of lightning Gwendolyn tries to fry everyone in the room. She thows a bolt at Willow but Angel pushes her to the ground just in time to save her. Faith causes a distraction while Buffy throws a shard of glass from the broken window to cut off Gwendolyn's glove arm. She gets blown up and the glove disattaches itself from her disembodied arm.

At school the next day, the others are telling Oz and Cordelia about the events of the night before. Everyone is okay with Buffy now, they all trust her, apart from Cordy who still doesn't trust Angel.

Buffy goes to see Faith to apologise and to tell her that she can trust her. But faith doesn;t want to listen. She's given up on trusting everyone now. The only person she can believe in is herself.
