Angel's Journal - Season 2- Untouched

Season Two

Untouched

Lilah Morgan sneaks into Lindsey's office in the middle of the night and searches through some of his private papers that are lying around on his desk. She is surprised by Darla, who is standing in the shadows, and the two talk about dreams and their meanings.

Angel wakes up from another restless, Darla-filled night to find Cordelia and Wesley bickering. (Wesley is even on top for a while). Angel breaks it up but gets the wrath of his staff turned on him. Wesley begins to talk about Angel's unusual sleeping habits, and wants to know what is going on. But Cordelia interupts the discussion by having a vision that sends Angel out to save a young girl from two potential rapists.

As two men are about to get to the girl, a large rubbish bin slides across the alleyway and smashes the men up against a wall. The girl, ion tears, runs away from the scene of the crime.

At the crime scene, Angel pretends to be a detective in order to get information about the crime from a police officer. Following his instincts and a trail of blood that didn't come fromthe murder victims, he wanders inside an old building and finds the young girl from the alley cowering in a corner.

Angel tries to talk to her and gives her his calling card but she is too scared and she telekinetically sends a wooden strut through Angel's chest; luckily it causes no damage. Bethany runs away, leaving Angel in some degree of pain.

Bethany returns to the apartment she's staying at, revealing her roommate to be Lilah.

Gunn arrives at the hotel to offer his help in finding the girl and Angel sends him out to find information on the men Bethany hurt. As Bethany drifts to sleep, she dreams of her abusive childhood at the hands of her creepy father and unintentionally sends a bedside lamp flying into Lilah who was walking into her room to see what was going on.

Bethany runs out leaving Lilah lying there and goes to the hotel to seek Angel's help and they talk about her power of telekinesis and her lack of control over it.

Senior Partner Holland recommends that Lilah continue her work with Bethany but it is necessary for her to be successful as it could damage their other projects if she is not.

After doing some reading, Wesley has a brainwave and goes to Bethany and brings up the subject of her father. She loses control, sending both him and Angel flying through the air in the atrium.

Wesley had a good reason for bringing up Bethany's father, but Angel still insists he leave as so not to upset Bethany any more. Wesley agrees that that may be a good idea.

That night, Bethany finds Angel in his bed and she offers herself to him. All the abuse she has suffered has led her to believe that she is just an object for use. He's not interested and after they talk, he sends her back to her own bed.

After Angel helps Bethany work to control her power, he meets Gunn at the apartment of one of the potential rapists. Gunn rags on the decor and the furniture but they do find that Wolfram and Hart was behind the attack on Bethany.

Cordelia takes Bethany out to try and takes the girl's mind off everything that happened and they chat over lattes until several men working for Wolfram and Hart leap out of a van and kidnap Bethany.

Angel and Gunn are not far behind and are pointed in the right direction by Cordy. They go after the men and Angel is able to get Bethany back from them.

Bethany's father shows up at the hotel (Wolfram and Hart's secret weapon) and he tries to convince his daughter to come back home and it can go back to how it was. This makes her lose control again and she causes serious structural damage to the hotel part of the hotel before blasting her father out of a window, letting him plummet and then catching him beofre he hits the ground.

Eventually, Bethany is able to control her power and keep from hurting anyone seriously. Later, she packs up her things and leaves Lilah and Wolfram and Hart. Lilah tells her that she can't leave, but Bethany has made up her mind. Angel comments that he's beaten the big corporation again and Lilah asks if he is sleeping well. As he leaves she wishes him sweet dreams.
