Wesley is throwing darts in the pub to impress a young woman when he also gets a message on his beeper and makes ahasty exit. The two of them meet up with Angel at a members-only gym where they put an end to a Carnyess demon performing a Praetorian sacrificial ritual in a hidden room behind one of the gym mirrors. The sacrifices are very pleased to be saved. As they are leaving Cordelia and Wesley discuss demons while the prospect of someday being human has Angel distracted and thinking about joining a gym. Back at the 'office' (otherwise known as Cordy's apartment) Cordelia has an attack of the sneezes and then has a vision about an unknown demon. Lilah Morgan visits Lindsey McDonald's office where the newly resurrected Darla is enjoying classical music. She talks of how she can feel Angel, and slowly her memory is beginning to return. Angel tries to draw the demon Cordelia saw in her vision without too much sucess and when they do finally identify it, Wesley tells them about a very odd location that may hold some answers for them. The three of them go to Caritas, the demon karaoke bar (from the start of teh epsiode) and ask around for information. Welsey's demon grass, Merl, informs Angel about where he can find the demon. Wesley and Cordelia try to get Angel to sing (as does the Host), but he won't do it. There is three things Angel won't do, Tan, Age and Sing. Angel finds the PrioMotu demon along with a heavily pregnant woman. He kills the demon after a violent battle, but then the woman tearfully informs him that the demon was protecting her and her unborn child, who is a very special person indeed. Feeling guilty about killing the demon, Angel tracks down Merl, beats him about a bit and gets the location the Prio demon was living at as well as the importance of the child. Angel finds Gunn and his version of the Slayerettes hunting vampires in a bad part of town and asks him for help in finding the hideout of the PrioMotu demon. The two search an underground building and find where the pregnant woman is staying, the doorway cleverly hidden behind a fake air vent. They search the place and when Angel finds a talisman that may be of use, he sends Gunn to deliver it to Wesley and Cordelia. The woman returns to her home, revealing that she just wants her unborn daughter to survive. Angel offers his help, but she's not eager to accept it as he has done her nothing but harm so far. They are suddenly surprised by demons and after saving her from the attack, Angel gets her to safety. When Gunn arrives at Cordelia's there is quite a bit of confusion in regards to his name, but Wesley quickly gets to work to find out what the talisman's purpose and gets out all his musty old books. Angel leads the woman to an old building, which dredges up old memories from his past. The demons have been following them though and as demons attack, he sends the woman to Cordelia's place while he takes a good beating from the demons for depriving them of their bounty. When a brusied and tattered Angel gets to Cordelia's he discovers that the woman isn't there and she's out in the city alone. Wesley's searching has turned up some answers though. The talisman belongs to a group caled the Tribunal. The demon was her champion and was supposed to battle for her when the Tribunal is in session. Unfortunately it is soon, and angel doesn't know where she is or where the Tribunal will appear. The woman now needs Angel to champion her in front of the Tribunal. In order to get information, Angel is forced to sing karaoke at Caritas. He choose Barry Manilow's Mandy. The Anigogic demon (the Host) running the place can offer psychic predictions after hearing someone sing, he can read their auras you see, but only while they are singing. He tells Angel where the woman's trial will take place. The woman finds herself alone, with no champion and no talisman as the trial begins to take place. Just as the Tribunal announces that her life is to be taken, Angel arrives to fight for her. Angel has to fight in a Jousting tournament. It's been a while since he rode a horse, but you never forget and he's soon charging down the street at the tribunal's champion. However, his jousting isn't as good as his riding and he is soon dehorsed and had to sword fight. Because Angel is a vampire, being stabbed with a sword does not kill him and Angel is able to best his demonic opponent. After a chat with Wesley and Cordelia where he tels them that Angel Investigations shouldn't be like a Business and should be a case by case helping people in nee,.
