Angel is at the Kareoke bar talking to the Host about his future and his future that-could be. He walks out and encounters Darla as he is leaving. The two of them dance on the dancefloor of the bar and talk before they kiss passionately. The Host, on the edge of the action complains about the passion.

Angel then awakens with a start, shaken by the disturbing dream, and this sudden reappearence of Darla in his consciousness. While Angel is upstairs sleeping in, Cordelia and Wesley clean and organize their new office (which is located bhind the main desk in the reception.

Gunn arrives at the hotel, expecting Angel to be awake and able to help him. he isn't pleased to find that the vampire is takign forty winks. When Angel does finally come downstairs, David Nabbit has arrived, all ready and willing to fight demons. He's a little put-out to disicver that all Angel wants hiom for is to offer financial advice in regards to Angel's investment in the hotel. Cordelia, however, is mesmerised by Nabbit's talking about money.

The team and Gunn meet up with a man named Jameel in order to get information about a demon named, Deevak. Gunn gets violent when Jameel won't talk, but the interruption of a pack of vampires prevents Gunn from getting answers he wants.

After dusting the three vampires with quite a bit of effort, everyone complains about their injuries, includign Cordelia, whose only pain is from cleaning up the hotel. After dropping Angel off at the hotel and returning home, Cordelia gets a vision of Gunn in danger.

With Phantom Dennis on standby with the phone, Cordy tries to contact Wesley and Angel. Angel is having a dream about Darla again and doesn't hear it and Wesley isn't in. When Wesley and Angel both aren't available to help, Cordelia takes it upon herself to save Gunn.

Angel is too busy enjoying happy dreams of being with Darla until Wesley arrives and interrupts. Angel still in his dreamstate grabs Wesley by the throat before waking up.

Cordelia goes to Gunn's base and sees the subject of her vision getting beaten up. She rushes in and mistakenly attacks one of Gunn's friends, Joey. Gunn is not impressed and tells Cordy that he doesn't need her help and walks Cordelia to the car, but it turns out that Angel's car has been stolen.

Without a car, Angel is forced to ride on Wesley's motorcycle, wearing a very fetching pink helmet in order to help save Gunn. With Cordelia at his side, Gunn goes to a party that is rocking the neighbourhood and tracks down Desmond, the guy who stole Angel's car. Before he can get information on the car's whereabouts, a huge pack of vampires crash the party. Gunn fends off most of them, but one of Gunn's close friends, Veronica (the party host), is cut badly by a piece of broken glass.

Cordelia comes to the rescue stemming the blood with some of her clothing and stayign with Veronica until they can get her to a hospital. Gunn reacts badly to the fact that Veronica nearly died, especially because he can't forget his sister's death, which is still eating him up inside.

Angel and Wesley arrive in time to witness the aftermath of the party, but find the location of Deevak through one of the surviving vampires at the party. she was pretending to be an injured party-goer, but wasn't very convincing

Gunn and Cordy finally find Angel's car, but also find Deevak. Holding Gunn by the throat and Cordelia by the arm, Deevak turns into Jameel. he's a little shapeshifting demon. After Cordelia sprays Jameel with mace (not peppermint-flavoured mouthwash this time), he lets go of his two captives just long enough to revert back to his ugly, demonic form. Angel and Wesley arrive to help and Angel finally kills Deevak with an axe.

Cordelia warns Gunn that he was the danger she saw in her vision. She intends to help prevent him from destroying himself, whether he likes it or not (and he doesn't like it).

Angel dreams that he returns to the hotel and Darla is there to comfort him. As he sleeps and dreams of his romantic encounters with his sire, Darla climbs over Angel in bed and kisses him.
