Angel takes Faith back to his apartment and tries to patch the pair of them up after the fight. Angel goes into the bedroom to see how Faith is and finds her gone. Worried he goes back out and finds her standing in the doorway to the kitchen. She is holding a very sharp kinfe. Faith has a brief vision of violently stabbing Angel but in reality hands over the knife.

Upstairs Cordelia, (sporting a huge black eye) is keeping herself busy as Wesley comes in. They compare bruises and Wesley curses Faith's name. Angel comes up looking for some food his can give to Faith and gets into an argument with Wesley over whether Faith can be redeemed or not. Cordy gets Angel to sign some cheques so she can go on a long vacation and not be around while Faith is staying here.

The police are swarming over the apartment where Angel and Faith had their fight. one of the detectives confronts Kate about her involvement in this case (which she hasn't been assigned to) and tells her that all the officers have noticed how she always seems to be around the weird cases now and calls her Scully. Kates says that she's Mulder because she does believe.

Lilah, Lee and Lindsey meet up and her very annoyed by how Faith has joined the other side. They decide to bring in an assassin to deal with their troublesome Slayer.

Faith is haunted by violent visions of what she has done in the past and decides it would be better to run away from her prolems than face them straight on. Angel allows her to leave, but she can't keep running away forever, as Angel points out. She decides to stay.

Wesley is playing a round of darts in a bar by himself and gets an appalling score. He goes to retrive his darts when another one just grazes his ear. He turns around to find the three Watchers from Sunnydale standing behind him. The four of then talk about England and Wesley staying in America because the council wouldn't pay for his fare home. They ask him if he's willing to turn in Faith. They give him a syringe with a seditive in it which should knock the Rogue Slayer out long enough to get her back to England.

Angel taks to Faith about making amends for what she has done. Faith comments that this must be the first time a Slayer has been sponsored by a vampire. She remembers what she did to Buffy and accidentally lets slip that she slept with Riley. A comment that doesn't please Angel.

Faith sees herself on the news at a press conference being taken by Kate. Just then she is attacked by Wolfram and Hart's assassin, but Faith and Angel dispose of it easily. Faith stabs it with a knife and gets all upset by the blood on her hands. Angel tries to comfort her, but just them Buffy comes down the stairs to find Faith all upset and a half dressed Angel.

Buffy gets over her shock enough to tell Angel that she wants to turn Faith over to the police let them deal with her. Angel sends Faith upstairs and argues with Buffy which ends with Buffy punching Angel and Angel punching her back.

Lindsey is annoyed that they can't kill Faith and decide to use the Law to their advantage. He goes to Kate and tells her that Faith is with Angel. Kate doesn't want to trust Lindsey but has not other choice.

Wesley comes back and tells Angel that the Watcher's Council has surrounded the building and are determined to get Faith, no matter what. He tells Angel that the only reason he didn't turn Faith in is because he trusts the vampire.

The council members burst in and Buffy and Faith escape onto the roof where another council member is waiting and when they try to jump off Angel's building onto the next one along a helicopter with the third council member rises up trapping them on the roof. All the while the two Slayers are arguing about everything that happened when Faith woke up. Buffy tells Faith that she tried so hard to be her friend, but now she won't forgive her because whenever she tried it would just get thrown in her face. Down in the apartment, Wesley and Angel are pinned down by Weatherby. Wesley manages to stab him in the neck with the syringe, then they go up to help Buffy and Faith.

On the roof Buffy is fighting one of the Watcher's while Angel pulls the last one out of the helicopter. Once the dust settles they discover Faith is gone. Angel orders the helicopter to land where he is met by Kata and a load of Police officers. Kate arrests Angel when he won't tell her where Faith is.

At the police station Kate tells Angel that she has the perfect cell for him, it faces east. Buffy tries to butt in, but Angel tells ehr to leave it. They are about to get into another argument when Wesley spots a lonely figure sitting in a chair.

Faith stands up and goes over to Kate. She tells the detective that she has a confession to make.

Angel and Buffy talk. Buffy tells him that she is getting on with her life, just like he told her to and that she has a new boyfriend, someone she trusts. Angel tells her to go and she leaves. Wesley joins the vampire and Angel tells him that he wants to go after Buffy but he can't. Wesley tells Angel that Faith did a brave thing by giving herself up, but peace isn't an easy thing to find.
